W.D. Gater: Wrath Of The Void

I've always wanted to draw Gaster amidst a more sinister undertone. You mess with the skelebro's, you mess with their maker. Your massacre stops here, human...

While my interpretation of Gaster is largely calm and calculated, I feel that given the right circumstances, Gaster's persona of cold indifference can be broken by one of two things; the prospect of losing his sons, or the inevitable vengeance should they have already fallen. Like Sans, Gaster too has a very dangerous dark side.

I enjoyed crafting this piece very much, and opted to experiment with lighting, different angles and small tweaks to Gaster's design. I feel they've been successful in some areas, but mostly trial and error in others. I took inspiration for the 'ring' of magic effect from a few sources that other artists have utilised. I see it is a means of focusing his magic outside of using his blasters. Using this method of cultivating his magics, he is able to charge the potency of his attacks tenfold! The Void has afforded him all kinds of crazy new powers, some that may even rival that of a boss monster's full power...

***Disclaimer*** These thoughts and ideas are merely head-canons of mine; given that Gaster is such a mystery, I cannot help but allow my mind to wander through all these interesting possibilities.
